100 K OFF-ROAD ENDURANCE RACE

Coming to you LIVE, from the Gem City of the West, on Sunday, July 12^th, on the outskirts of Laramie, Wyoming!!!

The Laramie Range Enduro came into existence from the minds of a few Wyoming mountain bikers. We were tired of traveling great distances, paying a lot of money, racing for short periods of time and or distances, and going home with kind of a bland feeling. So, in an attempt to offer others of our ilk something a little more fun, a little less, expensive, and something that takes real guts to complete, we’ve come up with the L.R.E.

This 1^st annual running will begin with a police escorted, parade style start running right up Grand Ave. from the Historic Downtonwn, in Laramie. Racers will then head south with the first real climb, about 2000ft., heading up to the summit of the Laramie Range. Following a short, fast, paved downhill section (2 miles), onto Blair road, racers will taste the first single track leading into Vedauwoo (National Forest Area). After looping around the backside of Reynolds Hill, the course rolls along some dirt roads to the base of the Headquarters Trail, a single track climb that leads into the Happy Jack Recreation area for a feast of fast paced single track heaven. Then we’ll move on to the northeast regions of the Laramie Range in the Pole Mountain area. There, racers can count on more two-track climbs, some wonderful views, and possibly one of the best finishes ever via the Cactus Canyon, which will drop us back down to the plains and the Gem City, Laramie, Wyoming.

While the Enduro was created as a competitive event, we heartily welcome any and all mountain-bikers to our quaint little race! We’ve been fortunate enough to get lots of help and support from local business and the City of Laramie. So, if a really fun, pretty darn tough, loooonnnngggg ride on the sunny climbs of the Laramie Range sounds good, BE HERE!
