The Marlatt Family

Welcome to our home page.

Our Family:

Summer is here!
If you're a resident of Laramie you would have noticed our unusual frequency of rainy days. To take advantage of the change of events, from dry to wet, Toby and I have planted sod, trees and beautiful flowers in our yard. We're thrilled with the appearance of our yard and enjoy it as often as the rain will allow. Our daughter has free reign of our humble creation and she appears to delight in the soft tickle of grass between her naked toes.

Kid's Horse Show!
The Jubilee Days Kid's Horse Show was Saturday, July 3rd, and our daughter was a courageous cowgirl for the day. For her participation, she brought home a ribbon and numerous gifts donated from generous members and businesses from the Laramie community.

Holiday Breaks!
Our family will partake on a camping holiday this summer, a daring adventure following last year’s disastrous tent camping trip. If you haven't heard the story about last year's trip you'd be interested to know that it entailed our daughter crying throughout the nights and throughout the days. Near the end of the "vacation" (and my wits) we found ourselves sleeping in our cramped Ford Focus with the engine running, the heat on and the music playing. Needless to say, we rented a cabin this year - wish us luck!

Our Careers:

Toby was promoted earlier this year as a part-time fund-raiser for the UW Outreach School and he loves it! As for me, I've been promoted to manager of Prospect Research, a title I share with my co-worker.

We've established our own graphic design business, "ANTs Designs". We do small projects and wouldn't consider the business a major source of income. But we enjoy the work and Toby is teaching me a lot about the business while I'm teaching him tricks of the trade that I learn through my graphic design courses.

I've been considering the prospect of painting more frequently in hopes that I could actually sell some of my work. I had a piece selected in the Spring 2004 juried student art show which was displayed at the UW Art Museum and the Nicolaysen Art Museum in Casper. If you'd like to see the specific piece of art, come visit us - its hanging in our house.
