Title: Teaching to Speak, read and write in Spanish
Grade level: PreK,
All beginners of the Spanish language.
Objective: To teach speaking, reading,
writing and compression of the Spanish language.
Materials:
1. Rhyme Time translated by Estela Jiménez Reyna de Treviño.
2. Children's text and work books from Santillana USA Publishing
Company.
3. Cassette and
CD
recorder.
4. Spanish children's songs on tapes and CDs.
5. Children's story books.
Activities:
1. Memorize nursery rhymes and songs.
2. Act out the nursery rhymes and songs.
3. Practice the vowel sounds.
4. Practice the sounds of consonants with the vowels.
5. Children 6 years and up are now able to read.
6. Read stories aloud.
7. Play games on the Internet,
8. Children will be required to bring in articles and
learn the equivalent in Spanish.
Development/Procedure:
Students
will seek to answer the 5Ws+H - who, what, when, where, why and how based
on their daily activities. How to follow directions for going places, or using a
recipe.
Evaluation: This should be done by
assessing students participation during the class activities.
