JIM'S FRIENDS:
AND HE DOES HAVE SOME!

Several of my friends here and abroad have web pages. If they do, there's a link so read about them in their own words. But I am not going to miss the opportunity to put in my two cents worth, so I have a little blurb about each one of them. And for the record, anything they say about me should be taken with a grain of salt...I want to take this opportunity to deny it all! I also want to point out that this page is in serious need of rework...I have links to fix or change and people/pix to add. Please bear with me.

Jesse Ballard has been one of my closest friends since the third grade. We have gone camping, hunting, fishing, exploring, and crazy together. We ran cross country together, worked together, played together, and discovered the world of PernMUSH together. We are both attending the University of Wyoming (DUH...hence the address of my page). Jesse's current major is Journalism with a double minor in English and something else....wait five minutes...it'll change. ATTENTION!!! Check out a page for Jesse's Dad's book! It's terrific and my mom is even in the second one! It's called Wyoming Walk About.

Roach (aka Raechel Henderson) and I met at the High School Summer Institute in 1992. We have been very close friends ever since. She is a writer (with talent even! But don't tell her I said that) and moved to Chicago a few years ago to be with her boyfriend. Ok...so now he's her fiance, but that's just a technicality, right? We miss her lots, but our aim is getting better.

Crystal Szczesny and I met my freshman year. She was friends with Roach's roommate and we got to know each other. It didn't take long, either. We are VERY much alike. It's almost scary at times. Well...two times: Night and Day. She's originally from Connecticut, but is down here at little ol' UW now. This is also scary.

Lisa Fahrenbruch is possibly the most interesting/funny/unique/intimidating person you could meet. She has tattoos, plays the guitar, and enjoys full contact sports-the more danger the better. My mom has described her as a red-headed Ellen Degeneres. She's just the kind of person who can make you laugh until your sides hurt. She's very intelligent, though we're still trying to convince her of that. She's going off to study criminalistics at the Virginia University. When she's done with her masters, she'll be all official-like, so don't even think about breaking the rules. She'll kick your butt. You've been warned.

Brandon Huizenga is a net addict in the making...I know because I'm an addict myself. I met him through my sister and her boyfriend. They all attended the High School Summer Institute together. Brandon also left our happy little group a while back and is bound for DeVry. We still manage to track him down upon occasion and further corrupt him.

Henriette Uhlenhaut is just an all-around cool person. She was an exchange student at my HS when I was a senior. She and my sister and I spent lots of time together making fun of people in German....it was great fun. After we tunred Henry into a little American girl, she had to go back to Germany. She did manage to stay long enough to go to my Senior prom with me and be corrupted by the bad influences in Wright, Wyoming. Now she's going to school in Georgia, so we might get to see more of her. She'll be here in the states!

Jessa and Dave Gillis are too cool. I met Jessa on PernMUSH when I saved her from a crazed newbie. It wasn't long before she was coding circles around me and carving out her niche online with a stick of dynamite. Then one Spring Break I went to visit her and other net friends in Maryland. We've been harassing each other ever since, and my life is so much the better. I missed Dave and Jessa's wedding, but I've seen the pictures...and it was too cool! I don't get to talk to Jessa nearly enough.

There's more to come! I'm scanning pictures in as fast as I can dig them out of photo albums. Please bear with me. I've not forgotten you, I'm just slow!
