WSMLA Board of Directors Meeting January 11, 2002
Meeting called to order at 7:33 p.m.
Members Present were: Scott Gormley, Dave Lehto, Dave Wilson, Brian Wilczewski, Tony Larvie, Mary Stack, Dennis Obert, Ken Hall, Mike Czarnecki, Mike Corrigan and Vern Fausse. Patty Tyrell tardy at 7:45 p.m..
Minutes handed out before meeting and approved Mike Corrigan motion to approve, Mike Czarnecki 2nd , motion passed.
Treasurers report by Bryon Wilczewski (see attached). CD rates have dropped. Dennis Obert motion to accept Treasurer's report, Mike Czarneki 2nd Passed.
Presentation:
Holiday Inn - Jackie Wendling (Director of Catering) and Justin Lewis (Assistant General Manager). Long Discussion concerning room assignments. Eight months ago. Photo contest in Birch room, not enough lighting. Willow room under construction. Tailgunner's workshop will be moved to Ballroom, not Birch. Very, agreeable and accommodating.

Committee Reports:
Convention Report - Mary was having a lot of problems and complaints
Dave Lehto Photo Contest - Lots of entries, everything going well, $300 in Trader Bucks
Video Tape Report by Tony Larvie - see attached handout. Tony and Mary carried on conversation about movies and donations.
Vern Fausse - put rules from NMRLA book and other information into WSMLA Policies and Guidelines of a General Nature for ease of reference. A review will be done on this document at the Sunday morning. State Sanctioning?
Auction Report Ken Hall- has a recieved a really nice donation from Ken Ford, hopefully more will come in.
Presentation:
Jim Arndt - Shining Times Trading Post and Living History Center. Asking for a letter of support for Construction of Trading Post grants. Historical, Trading, Youth Participation Non-profit, no shooting.
Traveling Trophy - Patty Tyrell spent $70, brought in $100.
G&F Expo - Dennis Obert: Dave Wheeler donated supplies. G&F would provide more money for supplies. Discussion of G&F grant opportunities.
Trinidad Herrara - dog problem in Hollidome already.
Dave Wheeler funeral. Brother said things had been taken care of. $100 donation to Hospice (Platte Valley Muzzle Loaders), Flowers from State. $100 to Casper Hospice Moment of Silence at beginning of General Meeting. Tony Motion, Mike Corrigan 2nd State Cannon Match will be renamed to Dave Wheeler Memorial Cannon Shoot. Dave Lehto motion, Bryon Wilcewski 2nd .
Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Alliance, Dave Wilson will request a copy of the by-laws from association, before action is taken.

Bryon Wilcewski received thank you from Wyoming State 4-H. CD from 1994 (Rick Conwell).
Need to confirm and cash in the $1100.00 CD, need certificate.
NEW BUSINESS
Evanston Cannon shoot asking for sanction. Supposed to present at General Meeting.
Discussion on Shining Times Trading Post. State will consider sanction if presenters can show support form other local Riverton organizations, i.e. Wind River Muzzle Loaders and 1838 Rendezvous Association. Letters of support will be required from these two clubs before state will consider sanctioning the event. Dave will e-mail jiarndt@uwyo.edu. Mary made a motion to accept letter as written. Bryon Wilcewski 2nd Passed.
1999 Board Member term expirations: Dennis Obert, Dave Lehto, Mary Stack, Ken Hall.
All $200 of Traders Bucks will be drawn at the General Meeting, Patty Tyrell, Dave Lehto 2nd. Mike Corrigan discussion. Dave Lehto stated that $150 in Traders Bucks will also given for photo contest. 7 for 4 against, motion passed.
Brian Wilcewski ill discuss monetary needs at General Meeting.
General Membership meeting at 1:15 - 3:15 p.m. Saturday, Second Board Meeting Sunday 8:00 a.m. in Drakes restaurant.
