Old Business

Bryon Wilzcewski explained about the Zack Herrara and Diabetes raffle. He also explained that 60 tickets could be purchased at $100.00 each for a custom rifle. The proceeds will also be donated. The rifle is a half stock, custom made right or left hand, any caliber, and is a commemorative rifle.

A question was asked why the board subsidizes the banquet. The reply was that it Increases attendance. Travis spoke about encouraging family attendance, John Boesch felt subsidy should be decreased to decrease annual debit. Bryan Youngberg liked the child subsidy, but not adult. Bryon Wilzcewski explained that only about 15 children (under 12) tickets were sold. He also explained the importance of the auction, that it allowed for an increase in quality of food and attendance. Trinidad questioned losses. Bryon Wilzcewski stated that there was a total loss of $700, $200 from convention, $500 other expenses, but that we actually broke even last year. Costs may go up, for instance Prickly Pair charges. Auction input has also increased due to dinner attendance. Get people more excited about auction and that should increase funds. Trinidad wanted to see if there is a trend for next year. Need to pump membership attendance up and get more out of town attendance. John Boesch stated that he likes the new meals.

Paid advertising discussion, check into costs and potential for free advertising. Get week back in between New Year’s Day and Convention. Travel Council advertising. Potential to raise money with a Game&Fish Grant. Block Grant with Wy State 4-H, Dave Wilson and Steve Aagaard to write proposal. Bryon Wilzcewski said, Don’t panic, the nest egg keeps us flush ,even in a bad year, and we should only worry if it continues to head that way. Roy Martin suggested that the dues be increased if shortages continued.

Scott Announced that Charter Members would be listed on the cover of the newsletter.

Travis Bennett, John Boesch, Dave Wheeler, stood for recognition.

Club Donation Craig Kirkland 24 hour member Successful in grant writing, proposal - copy machine access and has been donating flyers for past several years. Got state announcement several months ago, new so still learning what our activities are. Willing to make copies of targets for shoots. Send target and will return copies, shoot flyers. Need to know numbers ahead of time. Advertising grants $5000 from Tourism board. Really felt it would increase profits for organization. Craig also stated that he had newsletter potential as far as copies, but can’t fold, staple, label etc.

Tony Larvie, Brian Wilczewski, Vern Fausse and Mike Czarnecki were elected to the Board for the 2001 to 2004 term.

Jim Archibald said that pets had been swimming in pool. Owners back talked Holiday Inn staff. It was stated that we could loose our current location if this type of attitude continues.

Discussion went back to funds - approach should be at local level. Committee possibility. General Membership Committee. Add a Historian to document activities for presentations.

Two membership cards were found.

Scrap book: clubs to donate pictures. Maintained by Newsletter editor or State Historian - book at convention for people to see. Bryon Wilzcewski said that his experience was that it changes too frequently and books get scattered and easily lost after excitement fades. See how much input the newsletter generates. If interested then members should proceed with endeavor. Could run along with photo contest. Ham radio operators had volunteered to help do advertising.

No primitive plaque awarded.

Rowdy stated that he would like to publish a list of Wyoming clubs.
