Meeting called to order at 1:24 p.m.

Roll Call: Those not in attendance were missing.

Minutes from last Board Meeting (Friday) were summarized. Roy Martin made a motion to accept the minutes. Mike Corrigan 2nd. Motion passed.

Treasurers Report (see attached) and posted outside meeting room. Mike Corrigan moved to accept, Jerry Bash 2nd. Motion passed

Committee Reports

John Brauhany - Rocky Mt Nationals 135 anniversary of Ashley Expedition, North Laramie Peak, near Esterbrook lodge. Phil Nissan and Tony Larvie involved also. Activties include

Situation Combat Walk, Shooting, Cooking Contests, Horse Camp (Jeff McManus), Dry Creek Bed, Open site, Aspens, Stock Pond for Horses, 9000 gallon potable, 40 toilets, 3 horse drawn wagons for closed camp times, short term vehicle traffic at specific times only, except for emergencies, Emergency Techs on site, coordinates to Life Flight, Trader's Committee (Doc Bob), Plenty of firewood cut dried and stacked, Site is currently ready to go, July 14-22, no one before 12th, Private Land Site. Tin Tipi area 400-500 yards from camp, no real hills, shooting range NE of camp, Mountain Man course further north. Horse camp steeplechase and relay races, all volunteer theme dress days. Themes include Keltic, plains Indian, and mountain man. Kaber and Sheath tosses etc. Cross Cut log cut contest. Cannon match. Lots going on pretty much ready to go. Fort destruction, cut a flagpole. No firing of guns, cannons etc. in camp Overnight trek planned. (Joe DeMarr). Information and registration available at table, raffling off a rifle, shooting bag and horn (see flyers). Will be seriously monitoring underage drinking. Prescription glasses okay, do not have to be period. Shooting glasses okay on shooting range. Can use wagons for getting water, wagon rides, and haul garbage. Many state people involved. Gunny sacks provided and roll of paper. Ice concession. County grades roads, good gravel based roads. County road #5, no fords, main road (Fetterman) easy climb. Other road from Glendo east access (Ridge Road). No public days. Public welcome, but must be dressed pre-1840.

Trinidad Herrara - WY Winter Fair, Booth to Promote WSMLA. Wants to spread word we exist.

Patty Tyrell - Traveling Trophy and State Shoot awards - see attached

Photo Contest - Dave Lehto stated that it was the best turnout yet. We are missing Ken Hall picture on horse. Need to re-vote on best picture overall due to a tie.

No video committee report.

Convention Committee: Mike Corrigan stated that the dinner was oversold, and therefore upgraded to Prime Rib. 175 dinner tickets were sold. Mike thanked Jim Archibald for his work on publicity, local and Colorado, big turnout. Mike thanked the remainder of the committee: Dennis Obert, Rita Johnson and Mary Stack. Mike talked about room renovation problem, and stated that we won't have the same problem next year. Mike asked if anyone had any specific complaints or troubles in getting rooms. Dave Lehto asked everyone to give Mike applause for his work the past year.

Ken Hall invited everyone to look over the stuff on the auction table.

Newsletter editor - Mike Cash stated that if no one volunteered for the newsletter, it should go to the Vice President, whoever that may be. Nice job Mike.


NEW BUSINESS

Election of Board Members

Board Members up for re-election: Patty Tyrell, Scott Gormley, Dave Wilson and Mike Corrigan

Nominations were opened and the following five people were nominated: Mike Corrigan, Mike Zarnicky, Scott Gormley, Patty Tyrell and Dave Wilson

Mike Penz moved to close nominations, Roy Martin Seconded. Motion carried. Ballots were handed out, collected and tallied by Ken Hall and Dennis Obert.

Tony called for any other new business.

Kathy Clymer spoke on advertising the State Convention - she suggested a block add to increase interest in State organization, possibly a one page add, 2 columns by 8" which should run about $100.00 in Casper and Cheyenne papers. Phil Nissan suggested that the Director's names be listed. Use local papers instead, recommend not to do statewide advertising because of cost.
