My Garden!

Yes! No!

My Kids!

This is the day that Mary left for Oregon to live and finish high school at Wilson , a much better high school than anything Laramie has to offer. Kate is looking like the cat that ate the canary because she really enjoys being an only child. There is an 8 year gap between the two of them anyway, so its not like we've ever been a very traditional family. On the other hand, our non-traditional arrangement gives the three of us more freedom to be who we are..and we all like each other a lot. Most of the time..

This is another picture of Kate. She and I like to cook together. And sew. And make things. The latest thing we did was stencil the floor of her room. Kate likes cats. She has three to play with, her obese tiger ex-tom who is now living with us, Strawberry, my tiny Sugar, a little grey cat who hides all day and is up making noise all night, and Liberace, her sister's huge orange long haired ex-tom who likes to chase my two dogs around. She says " you have to pay the cat tax." This means when a cat comes up and demands to be petted, you have to do it. Its the cat tax.

Some of Mary's friends, and why the neighborhood thinks we're strange - I just think the kids never grew out of playing dress-up..

That's my dog.
