Abstract:
A survey was sent to the Weed & Pest Districts and
Yellowstone National Park asking them to list the weeds
that were present within their boundaries.
Weeds: Leafy Spurge,
Russian Knapweed, Spotted Knapweed, Diffuse Knapweed,
Purple Loosestrife, Yellow Toadflax, Dalmatian Toadflax,
Perennial Pepperweed, Hoary Cress, Houndstongue, Dyer's
Woad, Mullein, Musk Thistle, Canada Thistle, Halogeton,
Russian Thistle, Scotch Thistle, Plumeless Thistle, Platte
Thistle, Bull Thistle, St. Johnswort, Puncturevine, Sulfur
Cinquefoil, Burdock, Cheatgrass, Cocklebur, Broom
Snakeweed, Field Bindweed, Foxtail Barley, Milkweed, Oxeye
Daisy, Perennial Sowthistle, Plains Larkspur, Pricklypear
Cactus, Quackgrass, Skeletonleaf Bursage, Black Henbane,
Wild Licorice, Wild Oat, Yellowbed Straw, Saltcedar, Orange
Hawkweed, Yellow Hawkweed, Squarrose Knapweed, and Rush
Skeletonweed.
Purpose:
To create a graphical representation of weed presence based
on the county level.
