Abstract:
A set of "General Highway Maps" were sent to the
Weed &
Pest Districts and they were asked to color in each section
that contained one plant of the following weed species.
Weeds: Leafy Spurge, Russian Knapweed, Spotted Knapweed,
Diffuse Knapweed, Perennial Pepperweed, Dalmatian Toadflax,
Yellow Toadflax, Purple Loosestrife, Houndstongue,
Saltcedar, Whitetop, Musk Thistle, Canada Thistle, Black
Henbane, Dyer's Woad, Puncturevine, Russian thistle, St.
Johnswort, and Scotch Thistle.
Purpose:
To create a graphical representation of weed presence based
on the section level.

In 1994 the following counties did not respond to the
survey Laramie, Park, Teton, and Weston. The following
weeds were mapped: Spotted Knapweed, Diffuse Knapweed,
Leafy Spurge, Dalmatian Toadflax, Russian Thistle,
Puncturevine, St. Johnswort, Musk Thistle, Purple
Loosestrife, Whitetop, and Giant Whitetop.
In 1997 the following counties did not respond to the
survey Albany, Carbon, Goshen, Johnson, Laramie, Natrona,
Niobara, Sweetwater, and Weston. In 1997, the following
weeds were updated; Diffuse Knapweed, Spotted Knapweed,
Russian Knapweed, Dalmatian Toadflax, and Yellow Toadflax.
In 1997 Saltcedar was added.

then
